So much stuff. Full carloads to the donation center. And I feel the anchor, the world-love grasps my heart. “I might need that garden hose. I remember buying that vase.” And the cord winds round through my heart, tethering me down. The weighted swaddling comforts.
There were excuses to make. Lack of time. Doing better things. Polishing the outside image but leaving my inner life untouched. But Creator Father wants all of me. Even the dark corners. He wants me for himself. He wants me free.
I cut the cord that keeps me numb as I gather all these things back to him through the donation tunnel.
Good rest comes in the sun sprayed window with coffee and book – The wind that sweeps the clouds clear of sun, breathes round new heart-skin. And the patio umbrella outside the window lifts her curls.
